Project Anna

Anna is a 22-year old girl who has been struck by a viral attack in her liver in Oct’08. She was admitted to SGH where she spent near to four
weeks in the hospital.

Subsequently, the virus attacked her bone marrow.

She was moved to Gleneagles for 25 days, before she was admitted into NUH.
The bone marrow which is responsible for reproducing blood cells is damaged and hers is now unable to reproduce any to keep her immune system up.

As a result, she is very vulnerable to illnesses. Now, her lungs are clogged with liquid.

At this point, doctors are looking at the possibility of a bone marrow transplant, thus A+ platelets are needed should they find a match for her.
