She was moved to Gleneagles for 25 days, before she was admitted into NUH.
The bone marrow which is responsible for reproducing blood cells is damaged and hers is now unable to reproduce any to keep her immune system up.
As a result, she is very vulnerable to illnesses. Now, her lungs are clogged with liquid.
At this point, doctors are looking at the possibility of a bone marrow transplant, thus A+ platelets are needed should they find a match for her.

The transfusion might take up to 1.5hrs. Blood samples will be tested first before transfusing platelets.
